Minister...

     a person acting as the agent of instrument of another.

     to give sevice, care, or aid; attend, as to wants or necessities.

     to contribute, as to comfort of happiness.

 

One may think of a "minister" only as an individual who stand before a congregation to preach the Word to listening ears... a pastor, bishop, reverend or clergy. However, we are ALL ministers. We are told in 2 Corinthians 6:1-10 "...but in all things approving ourselves as the ministers of God..." We are to be good stewarts of the gifts and talents given to us by God, being a light to a darkened world so that our Father in Heaven will be glorified. Matthew 5: 16; Titus 1:7-9; Colossians 3:23; 1 Corinthians 10:24; 1 Corinthians 4:1; Acts 20:35; Proverbs 3:27; 1 John 3:16-18.

 

Volunteer...

     a person who voluntarily offers himself or herself for a service or undertaking.

     a person who performs a service willingly and without pay.

 

"TIME" is one of life's most precious commodities. Once spent, however spent, can never be recouped. We are fully responsible as to how we utilize it. While finances may be tight, personal material assets may be scarce...TIME is the one possession afforded to most everyone. We are told in 2 Corinthians 9:6&7 "...so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver".

The Gift of Giving...

Many times when we see or hear the word "DONATE" we associate it with finance. Considering the challenging time that we live in, we tend to shy away or gracefully bow out and decline the opportunity or privilege to "give" thus robbing ourselves the blessings that lie in store for us.
