HOUSE CONCERTS
What is a "House Concert" anyway?
It is a private concert in someone's home, put on by a host. A house concert is a real "concert". I like to think of it as a front row seat and a backstage pass rolled into one!
THE HOUSE
The word "House" could stand for a host of spaces. Yes, it can be in the home's living room, dining room, or even den. But it could also be a backyard or a patio as well. Let your mind be creative. The only requirement is that everyone should be able to sit together in the same room, for the entire concert. Rows of chairs or couches are the best, but even carpet or blankets can work!
THE DATE
House Concerts can be held any day of the week. They are usually about 2 1/2 hours long, making them the perfect event for weeknights as well as weekends.
THE GUESTS
In order to create the best possible house concert experience for everyone, I ask that you have a minium of 20 adult guests in attendance. Having less than this amount compromises the "concert" feel. Also, since this is donation-based concert, it takes about that many people to make it financially viable. The minium is 20 people, however, feel freee to have as many people as you wish.
THE CONCERT
The concert itself will last for one hour. It will include songs, stories and spoken word/poetry. Guests will be asked to arrive one hour before it begins to hang out and get comfortable.
EXAMPLE SCHEDULE
6:00 PM ~ I arrive and set up
7:00 PM ~ Guests arrive
8:00 PM ~ Concert begins
9:00 PM ~ Concert ends
After that, people can hang out as long as they like! It's that easy to host a great House Concert.
COST
To host a House Concert is free. It is done on a donation-based concert model.

ORGANIZATION CONCERTS
What is a "Organization Concert"?
This is a concert that is sponsored by and performed at a church, school or organization. It is typically an event that is open to the general public.
BASIC COST
The basic cost of my concert is $250.00. This includes any event that takes place within 50 miles of my home base (Zip Code 33881). The organization will provide an adequate sound system and be responsible for any marketing and promotional cost. Artwork for marketing and advertising purposes can be provided at no additional charge.

THE CONCERT
The concert itself will last for approximately one and a half hours. It will include songs, stories and spoken word/poetry. Doors open to the event one half hour prior to the start of the concert.
EXAMPLE SCHEDULE
6:00 PM ~Set up & sound check
7:30 PM ~ Doors open
8:00 PM ~ Concert begins
9:30 PM ~ Concert ends
After the concert, there can be a meet and greet, if desired.
EVENT PERFORMANCE
What is an "Event Performance"?
This is an event such as a banquet, wedding, funeral or other such special event where up to 3 songs, 3 spoken word/poetry pieces or combination of both is performed over the course of a 2 hour period.
BASIC COST
The basic cost of my Event Performance is $100.00. This includes any event that takes place within 50 miles of my home base (Zip Code 33881). The organization will provide an adequate sound system.

NURSING HOME ACTIVITY PROGRAM
What is the "Nursing Home/Assisted Living Activity Program"?
This is an hour long program for the residents of nursing homes and assisted living facilities featuring piano performances, singing, poetry and sing-a-longs.
BASIC COST
The basic cost of my activity program is $100.00. This includes any activity program that takes place within 50 miles of my home base (Zip Code 33881). The facility will provide an in-tune piano and an adequate sound system.
